Snowbird tests mobile metal spare-part production on a navy ship and on land

Snowbird Technologies used the RIMPAC 2026 military exercise to trial mobile production of metal spare parts. Its hybrid SAMM Tech platform made components first aboard the USS Essex and then at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. The aim is to make spares at the point of use instead of relying on central depots and long supply routes.
