Fraunhofer to show printed parts with built-in functions at Formnext

Fraunhofer ADDITIV will present demonstrators at Formnext in Frankfurt, 17 to 20 November 2026, in which mechanical, thermal and sensing functions are built directly into 3D printed parts. The examples cover metals, polymers, ceramics and multi-material systems. Topics include new material combinations, shorter process chains and digital quality assurance. One named example is the ProFi finger, developed for passive hand prostheses.
