EOS files patent for carbon monoxide laser in polymer powder bed fusion

EOS has filed a patent application, US20260307327A1, for polymer powder bed fusion that swaps the usual CO2 laser for a carbon monoxide laser. The aim is finer detail without an absorber added to the powder. EOS names PA11 and PA12 as examples, along with polypropylene, polycarbonate, PEEK and other polymers. It is a filing, not a product announcement.
