Tongtai Machine & Tool has received the first certified additive manufacturing part-specific process in Taiwan under the Qualified AM certification scheme. The route was audited and certified for a critical component, aimed at the semiconductor industry and other regulated segments. Qualified AM describes it as a step toward more qualified AM production from Taiwan.
At an EmpowerAX community workshop on 29 October 2026, Qualified AM argued that fibre-reinforced additive manufacturing only scales when qualification is built in from the start. The discussion linked the choice of application, part design, process maturity, digital control and verification into one chain.
KMWE has successfully completed the re-certification of its additive manufacturing production environment, according to Qualified AM, which announced it on 19 October 2026. The re-certification confirms that the structured and controlled AM production setup continues to be applied over time. The report gives no further detail on scope, standards or parts.
