X-Hinges software prints objects that sense motion on three axes
Researchers at MIT CSAIL and Tianjin University have built X-Hinges, a design tool for 3D printing objects with motion sensors embedded during the build. It uses separate conductive materials for sensing and wiring, so signals stay distinguishable and movement can be tracked along three axes. It is a research result, not a product.
