RMIT turns Melbourne's coffee waste into printable architecture in a research demonstrator
Researchers at RMIT University in Melbourne have made a biodegradable printing filament from used coffee grounds and printed full-scale architectural forms with it. The "Waste to Form" work is still at research stage, and a demonstrator was shown at Melbourne Design Week. It points to waste-derived materials for low-carbon construction, but no performance data has been published yet.
