OpenFilament lets older Stratasys FDM printers run third-party filament
The US company OpenFilament sells tools that let older Stratasys industrial FDM printers use filament from other suppliers. The range covers the Fortus, Dimension and uPrint families, which tie material use to the maker's own cartridges. For owners of ageing machines, it could change what material costs and which materials are available.
