Tripo AI has released Agentic Canvas, an AI agent that links the finishing operations for a generated 3D model into a visual chain that can be edited, saved and run again on many assets. 3D printing is one named use, alongside games, product design and film. It follows similar agent tools from Hi3D and Meshy.
Meshy Edit, a tool from Meshy AI, changes selected regions of an AI-generated 3D model while leaving the rest untouched. Users mark a region, type the change they want, and wait about a minute for a revised model, which stays in Meshy's print workflow and goes on to the slicer. 3Dnatives tested the tool in its lab, and 3Druck.com interviewed Meshy's Johnny Li about it.
FlashForge has built Meshy's AI generator into its Flash Studio software, so Creator 5 owners can create models from text or a picture and print them without a manual colour setup. The tool maps the texture of a model to the printer's four tool heads automatically. It reflects a wider move among desktop printer makers to compete on software.
