Innsbruck installs Wayland Calibur3 electron beam printer for high-temperature alloy research
The University of Innsbruck has installed a Wayland Additive Calibur3, an electron beam powder bed fusion system, funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG. Researchers will use it to develop processes and materials, with a focus on difficult, high-temperature alloys. The university says it is the first machine of this new PBF-EB generation in Austria.
