Blue Origin's Northstar booster engine is over 65% 3D printed
Blue Origin has presented Northstar, a new booster engine of which more than 65 percent is made by additive manufacturing. The company produces these parts in its own large-format additive production. The engine burns liquid oxygen and liquefied natural gas and is meant to deliver 715,000 pounds of thrust, with the earlier BE-4 as the yardstick.
